Welcome to our Universe

Experience something quite different, something you haven’t seen before but maybe anyway will recognize. This performance takes you to a world full of mystique, satire and sardonic humor. The grotesque creatures, The Buffoons, enter the stage where they through their playfulness reflect the follies of mankind. Get aroused and encouraged, chocked, sad and happy by a beautiful and unique performance: The Buffoon’s Needle.

We are an international independent theatre group with base in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are four members with different nationalities and backgrounds;  Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

We don’t use any props or scenography other than ourselves, our costumes and the milieu surrounding us, which makes our show suitable for almost any venue, indoors or outdoors. A show is approximately 45 minutes long. We need a minimum space of 4x4 meters and no specific lighting. Parading in the streets, singing, dancing and showing of their fantastic shapes is also a part of the Buffoon’s repertoire. We adapt easily to any circumstances.
