About

The Buffoon's Needle are an independent theater group with base in Copenhagen , Denmark.

We are four members with different nationalities and backgrounds;

• Hanna Jansson, born in 1981 in Sweden,
  
• Stine Schmidt Madsen, born in 1979 in Denmark,
  
• Kari-Anne Duesund, born in 1981 in Norway,
  
• Moa Persson, born in 1978 in Sweden, 

 We are the "base" members of The Buffoons Needle, we often work whit guest buffoons: These are the ones we worked whit so far: Eija Ranta from Finland, Shiva Grings from Ireland, Anita Bertolami from Schweitz and Jonna Letho from Finland


What we have in common is that all of us, at different times, attended The Commedia School in Copenhagen: a professional two year physical theater school based on the methods of Lecoq. It was here that we were first introduced to the Buffoon style. This incredibly powerful and demanding style appealed to all of us. The different experiences and backgrounds that each of our members have brought into the group, make us a very strong and diverse performance company.
